Because of Your Genetics and Biochemical Make-Up, Your Dietary Needs are as Unique as Your Fingerprints
Based on your genetics, biochemical make-up, heritage, and your own interaction with the environment, your body processes food and utilizes nutrients differently than anyone else. For this reason, no one can tell you what diet or nutrition plan works for you. Metabolic Typing® can.
Metabolic Typing® uncovers the patterns of genetically-based strengths and weaknesses that make each of us, on a physiological and biochemical level, as unique as our fingerprints. It is the reason traditional eskimos thrive on a diet rich in saturated fat, cholesterol and high amounts of protein; and at the same time people born in the tropics stay healthy on a diet rich in fruits, grains, and other light vegetarian fare.

Knowing your unique, genetically-based, nutritional needs is critical for true health
What Type Are You?
-
PROTEIN TYPES function best when their diet is low in carbohydrates, high in protein, and relatively high in healthy fats.
-
CARBOHYDRATE TYPES normally feel best when most of their foods are from plants. Proteins are leaner and fat is emphasized less.
-
MIXED TYPES require combinations somewhere between carb and protein type groups.

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”
– Hippocrates, father of medicine, 431 B.C.
Make no mistake — food is the most powerful “drug” on this earth. You eat it several times a day, every day of your life. It contains thousands of compounds that your body uses as its “fuel for life.” Your food can be your medicine or your poison. It has the power to heal. But it also has the power to make you ill if you eat foods that are wrong for you. With the exception of accidents and suicide, the 10 leading causes of death in the US can all be caused by eating the wrong diet, and all of them have been cured by eating the right diet!
